One-Time Volunteer Opportunities
Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.
March
Feeding Families Program
What: Volunteers are needed to help deliver ready-to-eat or ready-to-heat meals to families
with young children who are food insecure, through this program sponsored by the SLU
School of Social Work. Volunteers receive training.
When: 10:30 a.m. - Noon, Fridays throughout March and April (March 27 and April 3, 10,
17, 24)

What: Volunteers are needed for our East Stream Volunteer Days, helping maintain the new
plantings at the East Stream Restoration Project. Tasks include identifying native
plants, pulling weeds, hauling plant materials, etc.
When: 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., any day March 24-25, or 31

What: Volunteers are needed for our ColorBrave workshop for our children and families,
a space for honest conversations, deeper connections, and collective learning about
identity, empathy, and racial equity.
