Samuel Cupples House is located on the Frost Campus of Saint Louis University,
directly next to Pius XII Memorial Library, just 10 minutes from downtown St. Louis.
Cupples House can be easily
reached by car, bus, or MetroLink.
Directions
From downtown St. Louis, take I-64/40 to the Grand Boulevard exit. Turn
right on Grand Boulevard and go two blocks to Lindell. Turn left on Lindell
and follow it one block south to Spring Avenue. Cupples House is located on the
John F. Connelly Mall next to the Pius XII Memorial Library. It is one block west
of Grand and one block south of Lindell.
Follow the foot path to the clock tower. Cupples House is the first building
on the right beyond the plaza at the clock tower. Cupples House is the big, red stone
mansion with copper turrets. Enter through the front of the house.
Parking Information
There is no parking lot for Samuel Cupples House. However, limited 2-hour metered
parking is available on Lindell.
More parking is available at the Frost Garage on the southwest corner of Grand and
Laclede and at the Laclede Garage at Laclede and Spring. To access that garage, turn
left on Laclede from Grand (one block before Lindell) and proceed a short distance to
Spring where the garage is located. After parking, cross Laclede. Cupples House is
immediately adjacent to the Pius XII Library.
Parking is also available in the Scottish Rite lot near the intersection of Grand and
Olive. Turn west onto Olive from Laclede to find the lot on the left side of Olive, located
directly behind the Saint Louis University Museum of Art. After parking, walk around the museum
and then cross Lindell to the circle driveway next to Pius XII Library. Cupples House is
immediately adjacent to the Pius XII Library on your right.
Handicapped parking is available in 4 spots in the circle driveway
next to Pius XII Library, which is accessible from Lindell Boulevard.
Tour buses should call for drop-off instructions.
Bus parking is located at the Reinert Dormitory lot located on Grand
Boulevard, just south of Forest Park Boulevard.
Metro Link
Exit Grand Boulevard Station. Walk south (look for green copper roofs of
the University buildings). Walk 4 blocks north and turn left at the campus entrance nearest
DuBourg Hall. Cupples House is immediately adjacent to the Pius XII Library on your right.
